Unlike me, he had a jungle growing out of his ears!
Heredity...it's a bitch.
It doesn't matter how well you're educated or how much money you make.
If your genes say 'lots-o-nose hair' that's what you're gonna get.
A while back, I bought a mini (battery operated) shaver with a nose hair trimmer attachment... but I cannot find that attachment.
I have this special luck for misplacing things.
We talked about it at lunch today.
Special tool. Any tool.
Metric crescent wrench? I've bought two or three over the years.
Where are they now?? Who (the fu*k) knows.
If I buy another tomorrow, I'm sure when I go to put it away, the others I couldn't find will all be in the same toolbox I checked in 7 or 8 times before I ran out to buy a new one!

Maybe I should buy a new blowtorch so I can burn off these nose hairs.

Thanks for reading my blog.

No birds in Nanning? 南宁鸟在哪里?

我这个月穿越南宁。 我没看见任何鸟。 我期望在购物中心看见鸽子。

Nanning is a South city in Guangxi Province. I was there nearly 12 days this month and I cannot recall seeing any birds.
Not one bird. Why?
I could understand if it were Beijing in Winter... but this is Nanning, The Green City.
I went to the park, walked to the huge shopping center with Wal-Mart and no birds. I would have expected to see some pigeons on the rooftops near the mall, waiting for food left on the ground.

What a great experience. I should be home in less than 28 hours.
I will arrive Sunday morning with enough time to wash clothes and get ready for work on Monday. Hopefully, I will get enough sleep on the plane so I won't be very affected by jetlag.

I arrived in Nanning less than a week ago and I'm having a nice time so far.
Good thing I brought boots as my daily treks through the old section of downtown require good foot support.
Cellphone & internet is somewhat limited, but I'll manage.
More updates when time permits.

The city is BLOWING SMOKE up my ass... literally!

Flyers were distributed by the city explaining they would be in the neighborhood doing repairs on cracked sewer lines. In order to do this, they will pump harmless smoke into the pipes for leak detection. The letter explained the process and told us to be sure all the sinks and toilets have been used recently so the traps are filled with water or there is a chance that smoke could rise from the drains.

There you have it... The city is blowing smoke up my ass.

Thanks for reading my blog !

(I'm debating to change the spelling of flyers to fliers)

The election for president of the United States has ended. The results are Barack Obama wins a 2nd term. Some will be pleased and some will complain. This is politics. See you in 2016.

Gather 'round kiddies, Windows 8 is here. Hopefully, you all have recovered from the upgrades when you switched to Windows 7.
I'll probably read some reviews later this week, but I see that TigerDirect is offering over 30 new models with W8 and many will have upgrade incentives.
Hurry... hurry... hurry.

What will W8 do for you?
In general, it's sleeker, more connected to social networking and takes advantage of touch screen monitors.

I have a touch screen netbook that's running Windows 7 and qualifies for the W8 upgrade for $15, so I'll probably install it.

Celebrity Endorsements... in the political arena

I've always disliked it when celebrities (usually actors or musicians) become outspoken on politics and use their 'celebrity clout' (in an attempt) to influence people to vote for their favorite candidate.

Does this jeopardize or further their career?
Maybe in some cases it further jeopardizes their career!

Humanitarian causes... lovely.
Politics... you've crossed the line in my book.

Madonna qualifies for the list. She opened her mouth at a concert this week and was booed by the audience. Singer Meatloaf made a fool of himself as though he was drunk.

Bad taste. When will they learn?

I'll quote my dad on this subject "Oh, shut the hell up!"

Nudity, profanity and promoting your business...

A few weeks ago, I tried to have a photo approved. It was me and my 18 month old granddaughter. The photo was rejected... twice because it didn't comply with the rules. I was allowed to post it on a 2nd album, but not the primary album. Why so strict was my thought.

For more than two months someone blogging their 'manly skills' had a blog with profanity, nude photos of himself and solicited their service (including sexual pleasures) despite some complaints from the others who blog here. How strange... why was this offensive blog here for so long?

I scanned the 'terms of use' and believe this persons blog was clearly in violation.. Again, why did it remain online for such a long time?

I'm listed on a few dating sites and they each have their own rules. Maybe, it's something I missed.
