South Florida will experience about 80% of the eclipse, shortly before 3pm.
I'll use the pinhole and a box method for viewing.

Don't expect a response from me...

Mentioned in an earlier blog, I haven't opened messages in months and chances are if you message me (and I don't know you) it won't get opened either.
From the photo posted, you can see about half of the messages I receive come from members who are here for a short time and get deactivated... usually for scamming.

So the best way (and possibly the only way) to get my attention is to comment to one of my blogs. The chat room has dried up and I/M has been broken for more than a year. Life is like that.

To the 27 year old who looks at my profile daily, that fine, but the other woman who hotlisted me every few days met a fate of visiting my Blocked Member List...

Somebody had to do it!

Some Actively Watched Blogs...

When I come to the Member Blog page, there are three photos on the top right of Some Actively Watched Blogs
99% of the time I haven't seen any of these members or their blogs.
We can count on one hand the number of people who blog here on a regular basis and though I used to see my photo at least once a week, it's been more than six months since it's been there.
Blogging isn't difficult and I tried several times to stir up some activity to see more blog participation, but so far, it's been unsuccessful.

I know I would like to blog more often but my schedule doesn't permit that and maybe one day, I'll see my photo again on the Some Actively Watched Blogs page.

It's a full moon. I shot this photo from my cellphone a few months ago and needed the clouds to help bring the moon into focus. It's a full moon again tonight but there are no clouds and any attempt to shoot the moon only brings up a small dot in the picture.

Crumbs in da buttah...

Following my wife's wishes, I've been eating less cheese and butter than I have in past years and recently switched to an olive oil and butter blend that comes in little tubs, I'd say it's more than two months to finish one off.

Buttered toast is a favorite of mine and I probably have 6-8 slices on Italian bread each week. (let's not talk about diet... )

Insert pet peeves... I don't like crumbs in the butter. I don't.
For some magical reason, my wife knows this and doesn't leave crumbs in the butter.

side note: she's awesome, I think I'll keep her around

My tool of choice when spreading butter on toast is a spoon. The back of the spoon. We have some rounded bottom spoons smaller than a soup spoon and they are perfect for the job! The best part is they don't crush the toast like a butter knife would, thus reducing the chance of crumbs getting into the tub of butter.

I did a little research to see 'official' butter knives with cream spoons were the fashion 3 or 4 generations ago.

Thanks for readin'

Leaks...

There are lots of leaks around here... the washer reservoir on my car has a leak. I have to refill it every few days. The back patio down spout leaks when we have a heavy rain. The guy around the corner is on his 3rd layer of blue tarp due to a roof leak. It's so bad the roof over his carport caved in!

Speaking of leaks, last week (before his demise) Anthony Scaramucci was going to go after anyone in the White House who leaked any information. I'm thinking he was on to something... the something could be the story I read today, regarding transcripts of Trump's phone conversations that leaked out... It's NOT a pretty sight.

It's apparent Trump got caught in what I refer to as "The Pinocchio Syndrome" and no one wants to go along with him. Ouch!

Sessions... warn all you want. the cat is already out of the bag.
All America needs now is to realize their leader is a pathological liar and actually demand something gets done about it.

______ Born Chinese...

More than 20 years ago I first heard the acronym ABC (also noted as A.B.C.) that referred to a Chinese person born in America. American Born Chinese. It was spoken by a woman who was born in China and came to America after college. She married a man of Chinese heritage who was born in United States. Although he has 100% Chinese blood and spoke Chinglish (a mixture of Chinese and English), he didn't experience the full flavor of Chinese culture. That was partly the reason they ended up in a divorce.
The part I found odd was she started dating Caucasian men after that!

I saw a new profile today of a woman who called herself an MAB, Malaysian born Chinese. I guess that's another version of ( insert country ) Born Chinese.

I'm a frayed of this...

A while back, I did a blog about purchasing an HE washing machine. High efficiency washers use less soap and less water. I went along with the idea that is would do a better wash and cost less. While we do use less detergent and it takes longer to complete a wash cycle, but I have no way to verify if the water consumption or electrical usage really differed.

Normal settings are used with a 2nd rinse.

Today, I realized just how significant the difference of using less water really is...
Friction on the clothes.

The photo shows how abrasive my HE washer is to jeans. I'm a frayed (afraid) of this.

Mentioned several times before, I like to compare new member photos with other photos online. This brings up the truth when someone commits fraud by claiming to be someone they are not. Recently, there have been many profiles here and especially on other dating sites using photos of fitness model and media celebrity Angie Varona, who happens to be a Miami girl. Fake profiles using Angie's photos are appearing with different age and location.

Today, I found a member who claims to be 36 from Easton, Maryland a city in the United States and linked it with a Philippine nurse living in London, England. The woman in England had several social media sites and dozens of photos online... including a YouTube channel that discusses her transformation from a man to a woman. "Are you kidding me???"

Not only did I find a fraudulent woman's profile here, it happens to have stolen photos of a man who wants to be a woman!

Yes... below is a sample photo from the transsexual woman's media page.
I'm thinking how many unsuspecting guys are going to fall for this scam?
