Maybe to them because they are trying to get into your wallet. This blog is advice to recognize a Romance Scammer.
I'm a member at another dating site that offers free e-mail. It's easy to create a profile and in a few minutes you can be reading profiles and sending (up to 100 per day) messages. The bad thing about it is the amount of spam messages the members get. If you notice, many of the African scammers speak a dialect of 'The Queen's English' that is VERY different than the American dialect of English.
Here's my short-list guide to recognizing scammer profiles:
Overly friendly right in the beginning.
30+ years younger than you.
Madly in love with your profile and what you have to say in it. (even if your introduction is vague)
They introduce themselves with first and last name, followed by "...by name" For example: "Hello, am Agatha Jones by name"
Excessive use of "Am" instead of "I am" "Am looking for a long term relationship"
Hurt in a previous relationship and now want the stability of an older man.
Claiming to be American and using British spelling... colour, humour, etc.
Their mother is referred to as: mum
Ending their message with a (what I call the disclaimer) statement: Colour age and distance are not a problem.
Are you serious?
I guess they are because it's a business and someone must be sending them money to perpetuate their fraudulent activity. Scamming pays off, otherwise they would find another occupation.
That's a start... be safe and avoid suspicious e-mail asking you to correspond on their personal address where they can exchange photos. Don't do it!

The perfect age difference for a man and his wife...

For Americans in my parents age group it was 3 to 5 years difference for a man and his younger wife. In some Asian cultures, the age difference is often larger as much as 10 to 15 years. In my generation, American men who are married to American women, the man is typically 5 to 7 years older. But I've seen many successful American men marrying Asian women who are 15 to 20 years younger.
Here's the extreme difference in Successful Asian women in America... it's just the opposite where the Asian woman is looking to marry a man 15 to 25 years younger. Here is 'the catch' as it's what they are looking for and many have been looking for 5 to 10 years. I know this because I see some of the same faces (and old photos) I did when I first joined Asia FriendFinder, left for a few years and recently returned.
Are older Asian women really marrying younger Caucasian men or is it just wishful thinking on their part?

High blood pressure (hypertension) is a silent killer... so they say. Sometimes, hypertension symptoms go undetected so you need to check your pressure often, especially if you are a man over 40. You could feel great and have hypertension. I know. Some days my pressure is very high and I have no idea until I check it.
BETA blockers are a type of hypertension medicine. Oh... you have hypertension? There are many factors that can cause high blood pressure. Heredity, lifestyle, diet, exercise, weight all have an effect on a persons blood pressure.
From experience, doctors will tell you the contributing factors, then prescribe medicine to lower blood pressure. Sometimes... more than one medicine is required.
There are a whole range of hypertension medicines available and... they don't all work the same. I know of 2 different families of hypertension medicines. BETA blockers and Calcium Channel Blockers. Sometimes lower doses of two different families is better than a large dose of one.
Supplemental medicines are often required to help with hypertension medicines. For example, some can regulate heart rate allowing the heart to slow down, some increase urination and that helps rid the body of sodium... Water retainage is also a factor in blood pressure.
On the weekends, especially If I'm working in the yard, I'll cut back on blood pressure medicine as the high exercise, reduced stress lowers my pressure without medicine. That said... if I were a fitness instructor, I'd probably do away with hypertension medicine entirely.

Burger King Spatula Door Handles...

A few years ago, Burger King started replacing their tubular door handles with ones shaped like large spatulas. I read the story behind this and an award was given to a young engineering student for the design.
My first thought was... the handles were too big and close for safety and represented a liability. Some of them disappeared and the tubular ones were reinstalled. I see the spatula handles have come back now, attached to makeshift metal spacers to give more clearance.
Public buildings are designed with outswing doors. In the event of panic, people can (safely) push their way out of a building.
The Spatulas haven't changed from the original size/design but they were intended to fit over the location of the original 3/4" tubular handles. By doing this, the handles went past the edge of the door and were less than 1/2" from striking each other.
Potential problem. There wasn't enough safety margin between them. If you started pulling one door open and someone quickly opened the other door, there was a chance you could crush or possibly loose a finger.
I'm happy to see they worked around the spatula problem. It's not perfect, but much better than before.
However, the biggest question in my mind is... what's the significance of the spatulas? Their product is flame-broiled on a conveyor system. They take the burgers off the grill with tongs. Maybe the handles should have been flames. I'm serious saying this. Spatulas don't come into the picture with flame-broiled hamburgers. Someone in the corporate office had to approve this. High ranking officers and marketing professionals decided they needed to replace (perfectly good) tubular handles with spatulas.
I didn't tell you about the time I walked in to Arby's one night. A young was slicing meat and talking to a coworker. Apparently not paying attention, he cut off a finger and fainted to the floor. The other worker stood there in shock. I turned to my friends and suggested we go to another restaurant.

My parents left New York when I was a and we traveled around the country for an extended vacation. We tried relocating in California where my father had some Navy buddies. I recall just a little and one memory I retained was The Matterhorn at Disneyland a replica modeled after the Matterhorn, a mountain in the Swiss Alps. I put my hand on the concrete structure and felt it vibrate from the roller coaster machinery inside. Inquisitive I was, even at the age of 6.
For years I've known about a theme park in China called "Window of the World" with replicas of famous sites from around the world. It's located in Shenzhen, a large seaport city along the coast of the Southeast part of mainland China visible from Hong Kong.
Thousands of tourists visit Shenzhen each year to see scale replicas of the Eiffel Tower, lower Manhattan, the canals of Venice, the Pyramids and the Sphinx. Pretty cool if you ask me as many Chinese cannot afford travel nor are they able to obtain visas. The solution? Replicas in the form of a theme park. Just like Disneyland.
Last week, I read a news story about China. A full-size replica of the Great Sphinx of Giza in Donggou village in Northern China. The news story reads they are tearing the structure down. Why? An Egyptian ministry complained about the structure. A Chinese official with a cultural park was quoted saying the imitation would serve only as a temporary scene for shooting movies and television dramas. "We are very respectful to world cultural heritage and express our apologies for any misunderstanding,"
Seriously, Egypt, you need to get over this. Otherwise, who knows... What's next? I say we disassemble The Matterhorn... don't stop there... let's force Hollywood to dismantle EVERY prop and authentic sound stage recreation. From now on, if you want to shoot a movie, pack your things and film it 100% on location... no more fake scenes allowed.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I love foods cooked in lard. Especially, sugary pastry things. I'm getting intoxicated thinking about it! Cheesecake is my favorite. Grilled steak with ample fat has more flavor than lean steak.

Most dating sites I've been to have strict rules for your primary profile photo. It MUST be a face shot. It cannot be pets, farm animals, sunsets, sports cars, high-heeled shoes, etc.unless you can clearly see a face in the photo. I haven't read the rules here in a while but I think they follow the same format.
Once, I tried to show a primary photo of me with my granddaughter and it wasn't allowed. That said, every time I see photos of tattoos... and only tattoos or that woman with the thick ankles and only her foot showing off spike heels, I have to wonder.. who let the dogs in?
Trying to lure me in because you have a cool tattoo or wear high fashion clothing doesn't work. I need more than that.

If you pass your mouse over a list of any of the profile photos you will notice a window opens with additional information about the member. This happens whether you want it to or not. In most cases, it happens to me when I don't want it. Scrolling around, maneuvering different parts of the website it happens all the time. Sometimes the popup window closes by itself and sometimes I have to click the X in the corner to force the window to close.
A few weeks ago, I was surfing Chinese FriendFinder with my Windows based touch-screen tablet. It was a nightmare as entire pages of profiles were lighting up as though I had selected them!
That session my list of members I viewed jumped a few hundred and as a result, many of those women looked at my profile... obviously out of curiosity.
All-in-all I am getting used to most of the website changes. I use some links but not too much interests me. Sadly, blogging is only used by a few. I would love to see more members interact in this part of the website. There aren't many chat room online and the Chinese FriendFinder chat rooms have some activity there as well. Again, a small group and I would like to see more members take advantage of this free service.
Back to the hyperactive mouseover... I apologize for scanning your profile by accident.

I sometimes get annoyed reading stories from news media. Everyone seems to have an agenda and cannot state facts without twisting them... even if it's a little.
What prompted this is the Yahoo! headline yesterday about Ted Cruz.
It's official: Ted Cruz is no longer a Canadian
Oh? He was born in Canada, making him a Canadian. Officially renouncing his Canadian Citizenship doesn't negate the fact that he's Canadian. Obviously, the agenda is to hype that he's an American citizen. It's not new news that he had dual citizenship. Last I read (a few months ago) when asked what the problem was in giving up his Canadian citizenship he gave an unclear response but the person writing the story said it was a simple procedure.
I try to avoid political blogs but I've said this a number of times and may repeat myself in future blogs... WATCH THE HAND!!
Magicians and politicians do this... that ask you to watch one of their hands and while you are focused on the hand some bull s h i t happens with the hand you cannot see. In both cases, it's a trick. The really bad part is when the the hand is in your pocket.
Simple... isn't it?
I heard some political motivated lies this week. At first they didn't sound like a lie... however, when you put in the time to do some research, you realize it takes less time to find a lie than it does the truth.
