"The first line to appear in our hand is the life line, then the
heart line and lastly the head line. The life line is like a
river descending from the mount of Venus, love. Life and love –
life that has its source in love.
You know Botticelli’s painting The Birth of Venus. It shows a
magnificent young woman standing in a large shell floating on the
sea. Venus, the goddess of love, is coming out of the water, the
symbol of life. And the river, life, will be just like its
source, love. If the love is weak, then so will the life be.
Despite a long life line, the riverbed will remain empty and dry.
So, if you want to be alive, you must love!"

"A smile is already a greeting, a sign of recognition you give at a distance to people you meet, before even speaking to them, shaking hands or greeting them in any other way. So it is important to be careful about what you are going to be giving when you smile. There is obviously no point forcing a smile by studying yourself in the mirror; that would only distort your features. Your smile should express kindness, liking, understanding, your pleasure at meeting someone, and it should come naturally from within.
If you make a habit of searching the depths of your being for love and light, your inner sculptors will know which nerves and muscles they must tense or relax. You can trust them. So work with love, hope and faith, and when you smile surrender to the inspiration of your inner artists."

"The universe is the work of the two great principles – masculine and feminine, cosmic Spirit and universal Soul – which come together to create. What we call spirit (masculine) and soul (feminine) are emanations of these two creative principles, which is why, like them, we too are creators, through our spirit and our soul. But we can only exercise the power to create if we are able to raise our consciousness ever higher to realms where only light reigns.
The spiritual activities that make true creators of us are prayer, meditation, contemplation and identification. In our wish to unite with and penetrate the universal Soul, we fertilize the light – the matter of creation – with our spirit. Our soul then receives the seeds of the cosmic Spirit and begins to bring divine into the world: inspiration, peace, joy and acts of nobility and love."

"Many know that giving priority to their inner life rather than to material acquisitions is a prerequisite for finding balance and fulfilment. So why do they behave as if they didn’t know this? We see them endlessly running after money, honour and fame. And how could they not be tempted? Such a fuss is made of social success! Every day the newspapers, radio and television laud the success of certain individuals who have ‘made it’. In this way they awaken envy in others who are less well off, and who are a long way from suspecting that these much admired and well-known people are not really happy. And why aren’t they happy? Because they vaguely sense that nothing they possess truly belongs to them: they are at the mercy of events and of the schemes of those rivals or competitors who will know how to be more active and skilful than them.
Those, on the other hand, who have worked to acquire spiritual riches feel that these riches really do belong to them and can help them face the difficulties they meet along the way. And they are always prepared to allow others to benefit from their riches, because they are aware that not only will they lose nothing, but by being generous they will gain even more."

"Life confronts us with so many different situations! So, to deal
with them we must learn to be flexible. Some people react in the
same way whatever the situation, using the same means, the same
method. But as each problem requires a specific solution, they
are forever thwarted by obstacles. They need to bend a little, be
more perceptive, more diplomatic – not in the negative sense of
being hypocritical and cunning, but in the sense where diplomacy
implies wisdom.
Those who are truly wise are diplomats, psychologists, who know
which strategy to choose for the best outcome in a particular
situation or with a particular individual. They ponder and
determine how to maneuver, like sailors who know the currents
and the reefs and know where and how to guide their boat to avoid
shipwreck. Being flexible, therefore, is being wise and
perceptive. "

"The past is only for drawing lessons from; it is pointless going back to it or dwelling on it; we should be thinking about the future. Those who are attached to the past make no progress; they become paralysed. It’s elderly people who continually revisit their past; they cannot see how they could project themselves into the future. And yet, there is a future for them too, but they do not think about it, and they constantly recount the same stories of their youth. This is understandable, of course, but they should observe more – continually talk of what they will do when they grow up. Why not imitate them? To be a means to be done with the past, for it is always the future that counts. We should all be like .
When we say that certain elderly people have gone back to being , it’s not usually a good thing, that’s true. But that is what happens to all those who have refused to become true , for whom there is always something new to discover and marvel at. Those who do not seek consciously to become are in danger of becoming so one day by force of circumstance – through becoming senile."

"Each morning, from dawn onwards, the sun sends a profusion of specks of gold out into space, and we can fill our spirit, soul, intellect, heart and also our physical body with these specks of gold. Our whole body, from our brain right down to our feet, can benefit from this gold.
There are different kinds of light. The kind our nervous system and our whole organism need the most is light from the sun before it rises. This is the most subtle, spiritual light, and it affects our psychic bodies. This is why, if we know how to look at the sun, something opens up in our solar plexus, and we begin to drink light. It is like a reservoir being filled with a precious quintessence. When the reservoir overflows, our only need is to share this elixir with all living creatures, and there is no greater joy than giving what we have received from the sun."

I am fortunate that I can see the lights in the sky,,

"When the night sky is clear, stop a moment and gaze at the stars. Imagine you are leaving the earth, its struggles and its tragedies behind and becoming a citizen of heaven. As you rise into space, you will sense your soul unfolding very subtle antennae, allowing it to communicate with the farthest regions. You will feel that the One who created so many worlds must have populated them with creatures that are wiser, more beautiful and more powerful than humans. For when we see humans arguing, squabbling and killing one another, how can we believe that the earth – a speck of dust in the vastness – is where the Creator placed the most perfect of his creatures?
When you think that all these stars you are gazing at have existed for billions of years, that the Intelligence that created these worlds is eternal and that you were created in its image, you will feel that your spirit too is eternal."

"When you meet someone, you need to pay special attention to how you embrace, shake hands, kiss and so on, as an expression of liking and friendship. Otherwise, it is pointless, and not just pointless but harmful. For all forms of neglect in human relationships have negative effects on the psyche of both parties.
If you express outward signs of esteem and affection without putting your heart and mind into it, simply because that is the custom, it takes something away from you as the giver and from the person receiving. This something is of course hard to define, but anything that is truly important for our joy and our fulfilment is always hard to define. This is why a look, a moment of silence, a smile through which the soul expresses itself, can bring far more than a more concrete expression or even gifts."

"As soon as you get up in the morning, you go to your bedroom
window, pull back the curtains and look at the sky, as you need
to know what the weather is like. Then, if you go to work, or you
go shopping or visiting friends, once you are out of the house
you look straight ahead and then both ways to see if the way is
clear. You do this on the physical plane, but it is even more
important to do so on the psychic and spiritual planes.
So, as you wake up in the morning, the first thing to do is look
up to heaven, to where light comes from, in order to receive
inspiration for everything you have to do during the day. Then,
before each task, you have to see if the way is clear. It is
dangerous to rush into action, for although you may save a few
minutes, you make mistakes or say unfortunate things, and the
whole day is wasted, to say nothing of the consequences later.
So, every morning, begin by turning to the beings of light; they
will show you which direction to take and will accompany you on
your way."
