Today is my youngest brother Bati's last working day at his company.

Then he'll take up a post immly in a new co. which would require lots of overseas travelling.

I am nearly 9 years older than Bati. I took care of him when he was a baby and rode him on the bicycle basket to kindergarden. I even tortured him by shutting him up crying in the house. Soon then he grew up and followed me to my table tennis exercise. Then I went to a University and worked far away from home until one day I shouted at him on the phone, coz he ran away from (high)school without telling Parents and told me he would not take the University entrance exam. Recently by chatting abt the past he told me I even threw the phone on that conversation.

Young Bati's stunning actions incl.: at 9, he walked alone w/o telling anybody 20km from the city to village to see Grandparents; at 16, he travelled w/ a girl by train to Beijing. I thought my bro was over-romantic and worried how he adjusted to real life in the cruel society coz he always suddenly did something out of normal way.

At 17, Bati started his early working life, at factory, restaurant, hotel. He reverted to earn a degree from college through distance learning. He settled down at current company for 3 years and has a GF. He made good performance and everybody wanted him to stay, the boss proposed to double his salary.

But he succeeded the English interview by a famous US fashion Co. and impressed the interviewer by his self-learning and self-advance spirit. He was also impressed by the prospect offered there. So, he wants to further develop in a more challenging environment and decided to go.

I remembered once this year Bati told me, "If i suddenly disappear, it w/b I go travelling..." I responded, "No, no, this is absolutely irresponsible deed." He smiled no reply.

In a sense, Bati is more mature than me. And he made important decisions ten years earlier than me! What? I don't tell here. And once Bati said emotionally his life is made up of Surprises and Secrets. Sure, as a 24-year-old, his pressure is more than mine.

Wish you good luck and totally grown-up, Bati!

(I don't know whether to show Bati this piece, he's not member here.)

Put your thinking into action 想到的,就做吧!

We've wasted too much time on thinking, planning, and discussion of
many possibilities.

We've waited too long to put our thinking into actions -

We wait to deliver a smile, a hug, an expression of love and caring
We wait to make decisions, changes, even love
We wait, we wait, we wait for oppotunites, lucks
We wait for the others to act and
the others wait for us

We wait until next life, next world,
to be under another piece of sky.

Don't think too much, don't wait that long
Anything can wait but time
How much TIME we have?

Do it once you have it

p.s. I write this to encourage myself and friends who have been hesitated to take actions. And i am excited having made an important decision and looking forward to another more.

I've got it
My body and soul cannot concentrate

Maybe too big a contrast-
from bustling down to stillness

I went in the afternoon for a walk at Leal Senado (the main downtown plaza of Macau)
I saw only shoulders of hustling people
without seeing their faces

i did not find my medicine, the sunlight faded

But the moonlight shines forever
the happy-together

Let it to the time

Hi Friends. I concluded the job at the $5 which is acceptable. Persistence to principle wins. Need to concentrate on it in this week.

I spent 3 days in Pearl River Delta area for moon festival, meeting families, relatives and friends, appreciating the moon in traditional way, barbique with new generation . An ancient village style banquet(birthday party) for my 80-year-old grandmother. A motorbike ride across the green rice paddy to the reservoir... A lot happiniess, a bit fatigue, many thoughts...

Let me comb my mind and tell you more, I wish.

Macau Scenes and Thoughts II - Moon Festival 澳門景想2之中秋

Moon festival means mooncakes, snowy mooncake, lotus smash mooncake with double yokes, five-nuts mooncake, pudding mooncake...

Festival, food first. Then scenes-

All Macau streets are flooded by mooncakes, red lanterns, and people's moon-like smily faces;

Macau parliament election run-up going on in this moon month, voters may be treated by a piece of moon cake with a cup of green tea by some candidate.

Candidates' promotion trucks roll in the city's small alleys with the round round moon shinning above.

The moon of mid autumn arouses the homesickness inside travellers, many luggages also going home.

Going home...

But Chang'e', the moon fairy forever waits for her lover by the laurel side on the moon, nobody questing for her answer any longer.

Shui Diao Ge Tou -"Thinking of You"

When will the moon be clear and bright?
With a cup of wine in my hand, I ask the blue sky.
I don't know what season it would be in the heavens on this night.
I'd like to ride the wind to fly home.
Yet I fear the crystal and jade mansions are much too high and cold for me.
Dancing with my moon-lit shadow
It does not seem like the human world
The moon rounds the red mansion Stoops to silk-pad doors
Shines upon the sleepless Bearing no grudge
Why does the moon tend to be full when people are apart?
People may have sorrow or joy, be near or far apart
The moon may be dim or bright, wax or wane
This has been going on since the beginning of time
May we all be blessed with longevity Though far apart, we are still able to share the beauty of the moon together.

Walk through plaza Leal Senado
Lots of faces,
Living the same city breathing the same breeze
Yet we never meet never hear…each other…between each other

慢步走過議事亭前地
很多很多的臉孔
住在同一城市, 拂著同一絲微風
然而

Dear 5 commentors,

Thks for yr suggestions and ideas.

In this case what frustrated me is the U.K. guy is as tricky as to lower the price to $3 fm last year's $4. When I hit back, he raised px with a lot of excuses. Maybe he tought I'm lady, then he'd like to trick me; m Chinese, then he'd like to beat down the px.

That means he is not honest nor clever! (bcoz I hv contact w/ the Pt friend) I dont like this kind of person and trick. Fairplay pls!

Being freelancer, we, (my associate and me), always striving to deliver "quality" to based on pro and honesty. Yet we feel the , should they be businessman or biz-intellectuals like this guy, seldom respect us and the professionalnism. Besides playing around px tactic, they delay and delay payment. So far, the best is Mac government.

What u said did give me some hints. Thk u all la!

It is Urgent to Love (by E.A.)

Urgentemente

É urgente o Amor,
É urgente um barco no mar.

É urgente destruir certas palavras,
ódio,solidão e crueldade,
alguns lamentos,
muitas espadas.

É urgente inventar alegria,
multiplicar os beijos, as searas,
é urgente descobrir rosas e rios,
e manhãs claras.

Cai o silêncio nos ombros,
e a luz impura até doer.
É urgente o amor,
É urgente permanecer.

-Eugénio de Andrade, Portugal
(1923-2005)

Urgently

It is urgent to love,
It is urgent a boat out at sea.

It is urgent to destroy certain promises, hatred, loneliness and cruelty,
a few laments,lots of swords,

It is urgent to create happiness,
to multiply kisses, wheat fields;
It is urgent to discover roses, rivers.
and bright mornings.

Silence drops on the shoulders,
and the impure light till it hurts.
It is urgent to love,
It is urgent to stay.

Translated by L&S, Macau,2005.

Dedicado a todas
Dedicated to all

A UK guy contacted me for one job -
rewriting Macau 2005 business/economy update
He said 6 pages by his mean standard
It actually was 12 pages

My friend a Portuguese did it for him in 2004
and was paid USD4XX which was a low price already
But this year he said this guy/job is too trouble
and it is kicked to me

Ok, I checked the length article, I searched into the datas sea and the everchanging economic status of Macau, I found a lot efforts is needed for this job.
I quoted my price USD5xx, which I thought still pretty low but OK making a living is not easy.

The blooded UK guy replied,
"I thought one day is enough for it and I only pay USD3xx."
He really annoyed me. He wanted to pay less than last year bcoz of my Chinese name.

The Portuguese friend wrote me,
"Well, it is like that.In China, the bloody capitalist always look for cheap labor.
Tell him to do it himself, through the net."

I agreed and did reply the bloody UK capitalist to eat himself(aha, Cantonese slang.
bd UK replied this morning,
"I can pay USD4xx, I merely cant do it bcoz am not in Macau."

"what do you want? Cheap labor from me? from Macau? From China? No Way. I don;t work for you!!!" Shall I reply him like this?

Yes, not a penny less!

Sorry, the title just to lure u into reading;
Suggestions and ideas please. Thks.
